In the centre of the city is Lake Voulismeni, which is connected to the sea by a canal. It reaches a depth of up to 64 m in the middle and is associated with many Greek myths. It is surrounded on two sides by numerous taverns and cafés, from where you can watch the colourful fishing boats. On the other two sides, a rocky coast rises steeply up, with a small park at the top, where paved hiking trails invite you to take a walk and take pictures.
