In the centre of the city is Lake Voulismeni, which is connected to the sea by a canal. It reaches a depth of up to 64 m in the middle and is associated with many Greek myths. It is surrounded on two sides by numerous taverns and cafés, from where you can watch the colourful fishing boats.
